Tai Chi Basics This class is an introduction into the internal art of Tai Chi and Qi Gong, the study of regulating one’s own energy flow. You will learn the foundational practice of centering, balance and grounding. This teaches the practitioner how to achieve deeper levels of relaxation and body awareness. Most pain in our body is a result of poor alignment which causes undue stress, wear and tear on muscles and joints. Especially, as we age, the excessive shear forces caused by poor posture and tension can lead to debilitating chronic pain which can be relieved by bringing the body back into balance with practice.
